Theme Options

A simplified theme options that give you more customization options. These are general guidelines to perform some of the basic yet useful features of WEN Business Theme. ( Hint: We assume we are in “Customize” section for whole theme customization part i.e. Appearance > Customize.)

How to change site title and tagline?

1. From “Customize” section, go to Theme Options > Site title and tagline
2. From the Site title section, enter the site title
3. From the tagline section, enter the site slogan
4. If the preview is fine, click on “Save & Publish” to apply on site.

How to customize background?

To customize background color

1. From “Customize” section, go to Theme Options > Colors
2. Select the background color palette
3. If the preview is fine, click on “Save & Publish” to apply on site.

To customize background image

1. From “Customize” section, go to “Background Image”, click on “Select Image” and upload image either from your System or Media files.
2. Set additional options include “Background Repeat”, “Tile”, “Tile Horizontally” and “Tile Vertically”.
3. Click on “Save & Publish” to save the changes.

How to change logo?

1. From “Customize” section, go to Theme Options > Header.
2. From the “Logo” section, click on “Select Image” and upload image either from your System or Media files.
3. If the preview is fine, click on “Save & Publish” to apply recently uploaded logo.

How to show search Box in Header?

1. From “Customize” section, go to “Theme Options > Header” section.
2. Turn on “Show Search Box” checkbox to show search icon.
3. Click on “Save & Publish” to save the changes.

How to show social icons in Header?

1. From “Customize” section, go to “Theme Options > Header” section.
2. Turn on “Show Social Icons” checkbox to show social icons. (You need to create social menu and assign it to “Social”)
3. Click on “Save & Publish” to save the changes.

How to show tagline Header?

1. From “Customize” section, go to “Theme Options > Header” section.
2. Turn on “Show tagline” checkbox to show slogans.
3. Click on “Save & Publish” to save the changes.

 

How to change logo and icons?

1. From “Customize” section, go to Theme Options > Icons.
2. To change favicon, click on “Select Image” from “Favicon” section and upload image.
3. To change Web Clip Icon ,click on “Select Image” from “Web Clip Icon” section and upload image
4. If the preview is fine, click on “Save & Publish” to apply recently uploaded logo.

 How to change search placeholder?

1. From “Customize” section, go to Theme Options > Search
2. Change the text of the placeholder.
3. If the preview is fine, click on “Save & Publish” to apply the placeholder text.

How to change the site layout?

 Form “Customize” section go to Theme Options>Layout.

1. To change site layout choose Site layout, Fluid or Boxed.
2. To change global layout, choose the available options form drop down arrow. Primary sidebar-content, Content-primary sidebar, Three columns and No sidebar are available options.
3. To change archive layout, choose the available options from drop down arrow. Excerpt Only, Excerpt and thumbnail, Full post are available options.
4. To change Image in single post/page, choose the available options form drop down arrow.
5. To change image in single post page, choose the available options from drop down arrow. The available options are None, Left, Center and Right.
6. If preview is fine, click on “Save and Publish” to save the above changes.

How to change pagination?

1. From “Customize” section, go to Theme Options > Pagination.
2. Select Default Older post/Newer post or Numeric.
3. If preview is fine, click on “Save and Publish” to save the above changes.

How to change copyright text?

1. From “Customize” section, go to “Theme Options > Footer” section.
2. Modify “Copyright Text”.
3. Check “Show Powered By”, if “Powered By label” is needed on footer.
4. Check “Show Go To Top”, if “Go To Top” is needed on footer.
5. Click on “Save & Publish” to save the changes.

How to change excerpt length and read more text?

1. From “Customize” section, go to “Theme Options > Blog” section.
2. Change the excerpt length and read more text form here. Default excerpt text length is 40 words and Read more text default is “Read more…”
3. Exclude categories in blog, Enter category ID to exclude in Blog Page. Separate with comma (,) if more than one
4. Click on “Save & Publish” to save the changes.

How to change Breadcrumb type?

1. From “Customize” section, go to “Theme Options > Breadcrumb” section.
2. Choose the breadcrumb type and Separator.
3. If the preview is fine click on “Save and Publish” button.

How to show social icons in Header?

1. From “Customize” section, go to “Theme Options > Social Icons” section.
2. Turn on “Show Social Icons” checkbox to show social icons. (You need to create social menu and assign it to “Social”)
3. Click on “Save & Publish” to save the changes.

Advanced Setting?

1. Add Custom CSS here and find the changes.
2. If preview is fine click on “Save and Publish” button to save the changes.

 

How to change featured slider setting?

Change Slider type:

1. From “Customize” section, go to “Featured slider> slider type” section.
2. Enable slider on setting >  choose the options “Disable” or “Entire site” or “Home page/Front page”.
3. Select slider type > choose the available option.
4. Number of slides > Put the number of slider you want to display.
5. Select category > Select the category from which you want to display the slider.
6. If the preview is fine click on “Save and publish” to save the changes.

Change Slider Setting:

1. Select the available options for transition effect.
2. Put the Transition delay time in second.
3. Put the transition duration in second.
4. Checked if needed “Enable Caption”
5. Checked if needed “Arrow” on slider.
6. Checked for “Enable pager”.
7. Checked if “Enable Auto play” needed.

Home page settings

How to change the front page widgets area?

1. Go to “Customize” section and  then “Widgets”.
2. Select the front page widgets area.
3. Reorder or add the widgets for the front page widgets.
4. Check the preview, if it looks fine, save the changes.

Navigation

How to change navigation menu?

The theme supports 4 menus. Select which menu appears in each location. You can edit your menu content on the Menus screen in the Appearance section.

From “Customize” section, go to “Navigation” section.

1. Select the menu for Primary menu. Primary menu appears as a main menu in header section.
2. Select the menu for Footer menu. Footer menu appears on the footer section.
3. Choose the Social menu, which shows the social links title as a menu.
4. Select the menu for 404. This menu appears on 404 page.
5. If preview looks fine, save the changes by clicking on “Save and publish” button.
